Formerly Vegan Blogger Threatened by Angry Vegans
http://blogs.laweekly.com/squidi…After years of living as a self-professed "vegangelical," Natasha, a well-known vegan blogger at Voracious, ended up with debilitating health problems. Her doctor urged her to incorporate animal products back into her diet. For six months, she refused. Her symptoms worsened. Finally, she began eating meat. That was her first sin. Then she did something even worse. She wrote about it.

A mate of mine was veggie for about 12 years. He didnt agree with the way animals are treated etc.
He was quite athletic, did lots of cycling and climbing, one of those hiking outdoorsy types.
However he then decided to eat meat. Within one month of eating mean he put on a stone of muscle and was climbing an entire grade hard (font grading).
People should eat meat its natural!
- same with sex -- but super suppressed in usa. america fuck yeah!squidbrains

On the other hand, lots of people don't eat meat and are just fine.
To each his/her/its own

What i find bizarre and kinda stupid is people who are vegetarian and dont eat meat because of animal cruelty.
Its like, thats all well and good, but you might as well not exist in that case. They should buy ethically farmed meat. By buying no meat at all their vote, in a sense, isnt being counted. But by contributing to sales of ethically farmed meats they encourage this treatment.
By buying no meat at all its like being completely neutral.
rant :/
- I agree, its similar to people who think they are a good person because they are not a bad person.Hench

there's plenty of reasons not to eat meat besides animal cruelty. being vegan also isn't b ad for you, its really good for you if you do it right. anyone who gets health problems from it is there own fault and are doing it wrong and should find different vegan foods to get the proper nutrients that you're missing from your current diet. You simply don't have to eat meat.

@Hombre_Lobo_2 yeah i heard roman gladiators were fed lots of beans and barley so they'd get a layer of fat that would subsequently protect their veins from getting cut while fighting
- really? thats a very cool fact, cheers dude!Hombre_Lobo_2

LOL at the blogger. The doctor URGED her (not recommended) to incorporate animal products. "Mmm well, I know you're a doctor and all, with over 10 years of schooling and training, whose job it is to know everything there is about the human body and health. But you see, I'm a blogger..."
hahaha, dumb bitch.

That's bullshit. There is no need to eat meat to 'be healthy'.
I've been a vegetarian since birth and have been healthy my entire life. I also keep in great shape, have a decent build and not a problem increasing muscle mass.
For anyone to suggest that you "need" animal products for health is full of crap.
To each their own. I am a vegetarian because I don't like meat, makes me a little nauseous seems a big, bloody steak. That's because of what I am used to. I did not become a vegetarian on some higher moral value system, I just don't like meat and have no interest in changing that (saves me a lot of money, too).
So people just be aware. You can eat healthily in a number of ways (indeed, my father is a vegan and has been, that, personally, is waaaaay to far, but that's what he chooses).
And GOD, can someone please stop that from looping!?

- yeah, you dont need it. If you were really meant to, see what happens when you eat it raw... or were stoves part of natural evolution as well?toemaas
