Masters of the 3D universe.
Question for you. I know not much of 3D programs so is it possible to import a huge bunch of images, then get them put onto an object, then each rendered out as a batch process? for the following?
- Solidworks
- Maya
- 3DSAny other advice greatly appreciated :-)
Thanks

if i understand correctly, no.
the ' get them put onto an object ' part and each object going out seperately would need a script of some sorts if at all possible

not sure what you're asking. you're looking to create scene files for each of those programs? usually the final renders are sent out for compositing and not reimported into another 3d program as your question asks.
if you're trying to create a scene file that is readable by all apps, look into saving out these file types that are more or less universally import/export friendly: wavefront(.obj), collada (.dae), .dxf
- wouldnt think you could batch object saves huh? ive never come across the need reallywhereRI

1. import image then
2. place/wrap onto object/box
3. Export high renderBut on a mammoth production line. So think 100s of images constantly added everyday run through the above process.
I'm thinking scripts is probably the way forward. But anyone had any experience with this? or scripts?

render out uv maps from the 3d app and use this plug in to swap out the textures in after effects.
