I can't fucking believe they are crowd-sourcing video ads...
This is beyond pathetic.. you all deserve to freakin' get screwed over..
You do realize you are completely destroying the respective industry by participating in this garbage?
I didn't think there was a way that I could hate GoDaddy more.. but seeing this shit I want physically hurt them and everyone who participates in this shit.
But again, that's why all of it sucks anyways.

tip of my hat for taking criticism well.
lot of the response from QBNers has been amplified by the anonymity of te internet.
but ya crowd sourcing is bad... mmmmkay.

The nerdy kid one was too fast, hence the subtitles.
Yours was just not really that funny. Sorry. Comedy is a hard genre to do well.
And oh yeah, rap is really annoying.

both were painful

I'm sorry to say I kind of phased out after 15 seconds of yours, whilst I watched the other to the end, waiting to see where it went.
Theirs didn't seem so culture, age or gender specific - yours was very much a boys thing for 14-24 year olds. Too aggro, too cool, little heart or humour.
Perhaps that came after the 15 seconds I watched - but I'm a product of the product generation. Gotta catch em fast.
- Perhaps you'd have fared better if you didnt look so much like an agency trying to get an in?detritus

their's was better. there was a concept and story there, something to follow. and it didn't take forever to get the message across.
you were just "rapping" a list of their services... kept hearing words like "shopping cart, domains, hosting". pretty boring. we've all seen this concept before: take a mundane/nerdy/cheesy topic and rap about it in hopes of it being somewhat funny. i honestly couldn't wait for it to end.

The execution and quality of your video far surpasses third place.
The mime should have won. I'm not sure how third place even got so far.

welcome to crowdsourcing,
you've done good mate..

I watched the winning one to the end but skipped through yours.
The other was cheap and cheerful like GoDaddy. Colourful and playful. Yours was far better production wise of course but I can see why the other one won.

Let me clear the air that we knew going into this that any contest there is always a greater chance for failure than winning, and we were and still ok with not placing. AND, we know as in design that anything for the masses is always subjective. It's a portfolio piece as well as a learning process as we get more into video production.
Some very good points were made and happy to accept them and we thank everyone for their feedback.
We will try again for this years Dorito's Crash the Superbowl contest and hopefully fair better. Much better global audience as well more money at stake.
- If you actually want to get into this stuff for real, stop taking part in crowd-sourcing contests.NONEIS

Also, I didn't understand the switching back & forth from the preppy look to the gangster look.
was good production though, yes.

Lemme start by letting you know I really like the way yours was done. NOW, to be completely honest, I can't stand the song... it's just... way overdone already. The 'rap' beat, lyrics, etc. are not as funny and interesting to people as they were before.
On the other hand, the winner (altho it's not shot and done as nicely as yours) got smart and not only went 'funnier' but used a High School/GLEE-ish concept. I'm sure most of you know how big that show has gotten... and it paid off.

you should've aimed for 1st place rather than 3rd

Holy shit your video is a disgrace to hiphop
