We are ok with not placing in the money. But when comparing comparable videos I'm downright shocked that is considered better than ours. We definitely give credit where it's due, but really?

yours compared to theirs... theirs being "Do Daddy Go". while their final production polish wasn't as high as yours, they were the stereotypical rappers and sounded more like it than yourself, so do you end up giving it to the ones mocking the rap or the ones actually rapping? lyrically i give it to them. besides, your execution is no where near bob's cheesy nature

It's because of the messaging. Theirs is about how GoDaddy solves their problem. In 5 seconds I know this guy is out of money, and can't afford Santy Claus. Yours, while more polished, doesn't have that. You're busy talking about domains and registration.
Yours is also in black and white. Their is color. Lots of color. Brand people like that.
Not saying I like theirs (I don't. Not into yours either, no offense). But this is probably why.

This is a great case study.
It pains me to see how much production time and effort went into yours. I have to agree that theirs, while much rougher around the edges is more effective.

Your's is sooo much better. Honestly I don't know why yours didn't beat his. I like the writing. Maybe next time you should do some special animated effects? I don't know but yours is better :)
