It's because of the messaging. Theirs is about how GoDaddy solves their problem. In 5 seconds I know this guy is out of money, and can't afford Santy Claus. Yours, while more polished, doesn't have that. You're busy talking about domains and registration.
Yours is also in black and white. Their is color. Lots of color. Brand people like that.
Not saying I like theirs (I don't. Not into yours either, no offense). But this is probably why.
