That's a good one. I saw rod stewart a few weeks ago walking down Spring. My funniest one was Skippy from Family Ties eating at Quizno's in West LA.

I saw Richard Simmons in Little Italy during San Gennaro a few years ago. He was wearing his short shorts.

Smoked a doob with this guy outside of largo in LA about a month in a half ago.
some other people were there, but I can't remember their names.Nothing is stranger than being around comedians when they're not on stage. It was a weird night.
but my strangest sighting (just passed by) -- which randomly also has something to do with comedy if you can call it that -- was carrot top on the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica... looking like a beefed up, ginger, barbie doll. Eyeliner and all with his weird muscles on display.

On the way back from the cinema, a little drunk i walked into what i thought was a taxi rank on the Holloway Rd in London, and at the desk was sat Dennis Pennis,
He informed me id just walked in on the set of the film they were shooting, i didn't see the film crew as they were sat quite far back, so i walked off, a very bizarre moment.

I run into him right after Grindhouse came out, (a while back) I had a Dslr hanging on my chest, waiting for some friends outside a bar in LA, and he walked towards me, tons of paparazzi starting snapping photos, and I completely forgot I had a camera on me, I walked up to him, shook his hand and said I was a big fan, we talked for a bit, then he was kinda upset people kept snapping photos, so he walked inside the bar with his 2 ladies. All the other photographers looked at me weird, and I heard in the background "what's up with that guy, is he new? he never took a single photo"

Walked right past Nigel Mansell a couple of weeks ago having just bought F1 2010 on ps3 whilst I wearing my bright silver McLaren cap I picked up at Silverstone this year. I never wear that cap but it was chucking it down and I threw it on just as left the office.

I've got a few over the years around London - most of them comedians due to working a couple of doors away from the biggest comedy agent in the country. But my favourites were all about the context:
Eddie Izzard in a tailors being measured and shown mad looking material samples (it was a hot day and the door was open and you could see him from the street)
Steve Buscemi (spell?) flicking through the A-Z section of Rock & Pop in HMV
Vic Reeves buying a pair of awesomely pointy shoes in a shoe shop on Poland Street.
As I say, I used to see comedians a lot and it was always pretty cool (but not funny) seeing them in the groups they were/are associated: Noel Fielding + Julian Barret, Ricky Gervais + Stephen Merchant and my personal favourite, all 4 of The League of Gentlemen including Jeremy Dyson.

Oh no, I do have a funny one - Jesse Birdsall (Eldarado's Marcus Tandy), in his dressing gown bringing the milk in off his doorstep.
I think I was equally stunned by the fact it was him, the fact he had his milk delivered in London and the fact it hadn't been stolen!

i sat next to julie hagarty on a flight back from brazil last year. took all my strength not to start quoting the movie.......poor woman must have a hell of a time flying.
