I would drop mac in a second if I could not run Adobe software.

Cutting off hardware acceleration is fucked up.

ok so yeah Adobe users have to install the optional Java runtime to run CS.
Other than minor annoyance that I am happy with it.
I have multiple workspaces open and I can swipe through them like a madman.

in safari swiping left or right with the mouse goes forward and backward in your history, pages swipe and overlay the previous page - very nice!

The BIG question is - and it's onethat no one is talking about - have apple updated CHESS!
Yes Chess. That freaking awesome FREE game that always comes with osx!
Is it full screen, have they changed the graphics? etc etc??!
Come on people stop crying about f***ing flash not being some geek-gpu-what-not and tell everyone what we want to hear - the chess! is it now jazz chess?!
- ernexbcn0
@set it also has double tap to zoom into content like in iOS

does windows still come with a whole pack of free games?

- looks like one of those java applet games circa 1996SteveJobs

This is what OSX needs:
1. more full screen options. - why can't i keep a menubar on at all times, even in fullscreen? I want my clock and my Skype menu icon there at all times....
2. systemwide notifications like Android. - i don't like switching apps to see a notification
3. better performance, i may need more ram, but performance can be a little sluggish and the rainbow pops up when swiping from space to space for an indefinitely longer time

In Mail.app, you can hover over a link and click the drop-down that shows up to Quicklook the website link. Kinda spiffy.

Annoying new "feature". Webpages now have the scroll-past animation that they do on the iPhone. I understand why this works the way it does on a phone, but in a desktop browser, it's pointless. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, you might need a trackpad for this to work. It's where the window bounces up/down past the actual content area when the top/end of the page is reached.
- it's pointless but doesn't bother me.CanHasQBN
- I found this one strange tootymeframe
- it's getting ready for touchscreen probablyjon_d
- Only does it if you scroll with a multitouch device. Using a Wacom or old mouse, the old behaviour remains.Nathan_Adams

Apple didn't' disable hardware acceleration on Flash.. so that's good news:
"UPDATE: The final release of Mac OS X Lion (10.7) provides the same support for Flash hardware video acceleration as Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6). The previous “Known Issue” suggesting that video hardware acceleration was disabled in Lion was incorrect and based on tests with a pre-release version of Mac OS X Lion that related to only one particular Mac GPU configuration. We continue to work closely with Apple to provide Flash Player users with a high quality experience on Mac computers."
- So Adobe are lying/incompetent then? No surprises there.comicsans

overall I'm underwhelmed. I was excited for it but it pretty much seems like snow leopard. it's funny people claim it's the windows 7... there are no where near enough drastic changes to make such a claim.
I really like all the tiny GUI tweaks. especially with safari. as I'm typing this I'm noticing safari auto correct.
fullscreen is great especially on a smaller monitor. but I think fullscreen with a web browser is kind of weird. I think it's more aesthetically pleasing to view a web page in a smaller window and than the window's "make it bigger and cover the whole screen approach" – reading some forums and certain webpages and having the text go screen width is kind of annoying.
reversed scrolling made sense after a couple of minutes. kind of anxious to see what will happen when I hook up the wacom later on.
thought it was weird that iTunes didn't receive the no scrollbar/fullscreen treatment but this morning I got an update for iTunes.
not used to mission control yet but I'm happy with the decision to simplify dashboard, expose, and spaces. I notice lately that I was getting confused with all the expose options and was defaulting to use spaces and forgetting about expose/dashboard.
other than that hopefully later on when I fire CS5 all goes well!
- Fullscreen is great on laptops, but on multi monitors - 100% useless. Launchpad is terrible.MSL

How to: switch through widows of the same application (Photoshop, Safari, etc...).
I changed the preference in System Preference but that do not work anymore...- command + ~ will switch from page to page within an app and command + tab app to appthem
- Mmm, not sure about this...ItalianStallion
- I am positive this works.chalk
- [cmd + ~] Works in 10.6 too. Thanks I didn't know that one.bjm

I like snow leapord. Don't see the point in updating. I wasn't impressed by the keynote so... if it ain't broke.
And seeing all of your comments so far. There is a lot of wtf going on.
Maybe you guys have forgotten what they did to Final Cut Pro not too long ago. What short memory(s) you have.
