I discovered yesterday that the logo should remain the same, no matter what I showed them...

So I redesigned the logo in 5 minutes. Name bigger and the gray version in 3 clicks.

Ok, going to read between the lines here:
You've graduated many a year ago...
Yes you're still interning...
And you're working with a 'cultural' institution...
That is designing by committee...But wait - are they twisting your arm to do shit work or are you simply a patzi? Part of a designer's job should be to aware and conscious of a clients actual needs. If you did more than they asked then good for you. If you didn't do enough shame on you. If they're changing scope of project well it sounds like you may have setup precedent for that kind of behavior. Or maybe they just like abusing interns.

You can freely read between lines. It's a grant that ranges people from 18y till 35y in any creative area.
They started to twist my arm 15 days ago.
I did more than enough.
If they're changing the scope of project, I don't think I've opened the precedent for that behaviour.

oey,
well. Maybe it's just a shit gig. Who's to say. Not all design is glamorous. Take it as it comes my friend.

There are other two designers that already tried to change the logo and nothing....
The internship plan contains the corporate identity project.
Either they're waiting something that only they can see or something outstanding according to their views.
Maybe they have to design it. To do so they should form a Design Committee...

It sounds like something I'm dealing with right now - actually...
Essentially, they have you for free. They're going to (have) jerk you around because, well, they can. They'll push you, see if you'll break - and in the end probably wont go with anything you or anyone else made because the job was NEVER up for change anyway. I bet they get some kind of govt. compensation for taking international interns and they needed to put you on a project.Identity design is like therapy. If you aren't ready for it - it shouldn't happen. Its nothing that can be forced, despite your best intentions.
Chalk this up to a great learning experience on their dime and move on the best you can - go out tonight, get drunk, forget about this in the morning...
Welcome to branding...
