I would imagine scotch doesnt taste much different than goat piss. And this shit will eat your liver, avoid it.

Talisker and Lagavulin are my faves, but its down to taste.
The map above illustrates the key flavours, usually given to the whisky by method and area.
Delicates are light, easy drinking
Rich means more sugary tatses, usually from sherry barrels
Light means fresh and gamey flavours - like the smell in a forest after rain (fresh)
Smoky comes from the smoke of burning peat and from the source water if the stream runs through peated fields - expect slightly medicinal / aniseed flavours. A good example is laphroaig which is smoky but not rich, whereas Lagavulin is smoky and rich (sweet).have fun!

Balvenie made a Signature 12 Year last year that was amazing. Turns out it was a short run, and I blasted through the bottle really quickly. It's even better than the 12 year doublewood posted above. Seriously, best Scotch I've ever had.
