They are either centered or left aligned, make up your mind. Jeez...

yeah pics please.

- I don't find your second one is all that bad, tbhContinuity
- The only thing with the second options is that it looks a bit more crowded. Why not try moving the nav more to the right?Continuity
- Maybe I just like the simplicity of the firstNightshade
- Don't mean to sound like a cunt - but aren't the flaws in the second one down to your choice of design?detritus
- Sorry, input long-since rendered redundant. Moving on.detritus

Move the logo to the right and centre the logo between the two leftmost images?

If it looks bad left aligned, center it! And while you're at it, center that line at the bottom, it looks worse right-aligned than anything else on the page.

Here are a few ideas;
Place it in the centre.
Layout the page using a grid system - so the logo's negative space is more clearly defined.
Give it a background container with a slightly different tint - so the logo's bounds are more clearly defined.

- 2 and 4 look gooditstimefortea
- I like 4, it makes an interesting visual hierarchy.Continuity
- Although 2 is strong, tooContinuity

- I'm not certain about the background tint in 4 - might not be needed if you're centring the logo.********
- I like 2 - although I'm not sure about the white on the left hand side. Seems out of balance to me.********

I have always fretted over this issue as well

I think the white stoke over-complicates things - I'd get rid of it.
I'd move the logo upwards. (Imo) you need more space between the logo and navigation .. and less between the logo and the top of page. Without this space I think it looks too cramped / like the logo is slipping off the page.

This is why I always try to create at least two different lock-ups when designing logos. It sucks when you design a logo you're happy with, then find out later it's a pain in the ass to use.
Agree w/ lukus about the white stroke and the negative space between elements. Bounding the logotype with a box like is not only superfluous, but it looks like a part of the logo the way you have it, and would only just water down the brand.

All of this made me realise how afraid I am of centring anything in my work; centre-justified type get such (deserved) bad rap, that it kind of dictates other stuff, too, for me, like centring layouts like this.
- centre-aligned, not centre-justified ... urgh. Happy fucking Friday. ¬_¬Continuity

Fair comments- I tried without the white stoke and with some tweaks to the spacing it works well.
The logo looks good printed in the centre of bags, it's shame its not so flexible on websites. A centred logo pretty much dictates that it has to be centred on the screen, which stifles layout creativity.
I've just picked up my next design job and hey presto- my client has a centred logo. At least I'm more prepared for it now.
