BTW, as the accolades start pouring in, I'd just like to point out that I can take credit for a small part of this site;)

Instead of clicking on "The Work", I think it would be better if the menu dropped down with a mouseover.

ned,
If i had to be critical of the landing page is that there is no clear call to action/discoverable that says "click here, i'm work and should be viewed". But.. that doesn't necessarily bother ME... i'm a designer and I know what i'm supposed to be looking for. I guess it depends on how much of an external non-design/creative audience you are addressing.
The other thing which I found a bit off was the elongated MBP screens. Although attractive i'm not sure having the site in the MBP is even necessary. You are showing thumbs outside of the laptop - i think you could get away with showing the larger image without it too. Maybe a browser window might be a better alternative? Just a thought...
And finally...Your work has been a continuing source of inspiration since i discovered you a few years back. Just wanted to say thank you for doing what you do! Keep it comin' :)

Great work, I've had you bookmarked for quite a few years.
Nice update! I think the screens show some personality and make light of the use of the MBP in a lot of portfolios.

Yeah, they're kind of stupid. But super awesome at the same time. I've heard a lot of comments both ways - love/hate them. But I like that they poke just a little fun at the seriousness of portfolios.
