I don't buy the argument that this could be a massive opportunity for anyone. For one thing, thirty days; what can one accomplish in just a month? When I was working at McCann, it took almost three months for an even remotely folio-worthy brief to come my way. Up to that point, it had been bread-and-butter work, more or less the same with all the other creative teams.
And even if the winning creative got tacked on to a decent project, it takes more then a month to get through the normal lifecycle of a project; from initial brief, a couple of rounds of brainstorming, a trigger brief, first round concepts, client meetings up the arse, more brainstorming, a few more rounds of concepting, into the execution. By the time you finally get to execution, four to six weeks have passed, hardly enough time to make a name for yourself.

Within 5 years advertising will be done by the individual rather than by the "big ad" game.
Large companies like the aforementioned won't be able to keep up as they lack flexibility; essential in tomorrow's world of unconventional business.

Even if they won the contest, worked there for 30 days, but...didn't get a fulltime job. Now they have contacts at the agencies and not to forget the PR that comes with this contest and having the folks at those agencies know who you are. Having those agencies alone as a freelancer would be a VERY good thing.
