You're a legend. Thanks.
So... how do I make this work for the Public Choice spam gang?
- sequoia0

I really appreciate all the kind words, if you have any ideas to improve these extensions let me know, I'd be more than willing to improve upon what I have already came up with.

I just updated the extension to version 1.2 (at the moment only for Chrome).
Someone suggested a "safe for work" option and this is what version 1.2 does: there's a new options page in the extension where you can disable Youtube embedding and also image embedding. If you disable any of those you'll still get links to the original content.

I just pushed version 1.2.1 with preliminary support for ignoring users (limited to the big posts only at the moment, I'll add ignoring in the little bubbles soon). I also added auto-updating of the damned thing so you won't need to install it manually.
These new things are Chrome only for the moment, will get to Safari later.
This is the settings page where you can disabled embedding and add users to the ignore list:
And this is how it looks like in action (if you click an ignored post it expands and displays it):
Download links, as usual, in the GitHub project page:

Interesting to know QBN's stand on this. Granted their notoriously vague and cryptic stances on just about anything are never fully understood, but if it was their choice not to make these additions in the first place for whatever reasons, I wonder if they'd take actions against such extensions, or just sit back and see what happens.

Can we have a report fredmcwoozy button?
- 74LEO-1
what prompted the addition of an option to censor/ignor someone?
- someone suggested the feature in this thread and I thought it'd be nice to haveernexbcn
- I wouldn't call it censor, it's just a filter for you and you only, the person is still visible to the resternexbcn
- an old feature from newstoday.ephix
- I would just say...Deal With It!
We don't need this option keep it open.

Ernexbcn for king of QBN,
is it possible to have a ff extension too, I don't use chrome.

It would be great if someone on a similar system would test if this also happens to them regarding the bug I'm experiencing.
Chrome version: 6.0.472.59
OS: Windows VistaBug description: Enabling the QBN extension will make the "Add note" button and note navigation arrows to disappear.
- ernexbcn0
@Lillebo I just installed it on the latest Chrome version (6.0.472.59) but on Windows 7 and the bubbles seem to work...
Try deleting the extension and reinstalling, I don't know what might be going on.
I have a Windows Vista Home Premium installation disk around, let me know if it's still breaking so I install on it on a VM and try it there...
- ernexbcn0
@Lillebo I just disabled image embedding in the extension and you are right, it also removes the images of the bubbles, I'm looking into it now! thanks
- ernexbcn0
Alright, I just pushed version 1.2.2 everyone that installed version 1.2.1 should automatically get the update, in case you want to replace it manually the link as usual is in the GitHub page:

Thanks Lillebo!

Nice add-on! Keep up the great work.

Bumping this even thought I haven't updated this thing recently. I might get to add the Vimeo auto embedding feature I always wanted to add soon.
In any case, it's a good plug-in to ease reporting of spam threads. Chrome version also has the ability to add users to a ignore list if you really need to (I don't use that personally).
