Hey QBN. Last month I visited Ethiopia with an amazing group of people from http://www.charitywater.org to see the work they're doing there with clean water wells. It was eye-opening, to say the least. To see the impact clean water has on these extremely poor villages was mind-boggling. Something so simple that we all take for granted every single day when we drink water, shower, wash our hands, clean our dishes, and so on is truly a luxury in Ethiopia.
Anyways, this year I decided to give up my birthday and direct people to http://mycharitywater.org/chuck2… and make a donation. My goal is $5,000 which would provide a clean water well for around 250 people. There is about a month left in my campaign and I've got just under $1,800 to go. Check out the photos I took on this trip at http://bit.ly/ChuckEthiopiaPhoto… to see the places and people a donation would go to help and go to http://mycharitywater.org/chuck2… to make a donation.
Thanks everyone.

cool. so how did you hear about the charity? and how did you decide you were going to go over to see what they have been doing? sorry for the 20?'s but i'm genuinely curious. it's nice to know people actually still care about other people and step up and decide to do something about it.

The founder of charity:water, Scott Harrison, is a friend of mine and while at an event together in DC a few months back he invited me to come along. There were 12 of us total, Scott, his wife, and the 10 of us he invited. Just honestly could not turn down the chance to go to Ethiopia and see the work they were doing.
- that's rad. i would think it was a life-changing experience for sure.lvl_13

Here's a video of a friend, Shakil Khan, one of the main dudes at Spotify, from our trip. He raised over $200,000 for charity:water. Incredible stuff...
