Sometimes it looks funny. I see no reason why you can't dress your pup in a silly costume, let him/her hobble around awkwardly for a few minutes while you take pix, then release them from the misery.
However, dogs routintely dressed in sweaters, boots, hats: wrong. Dogs in bags: that's not a dog, lady. Someone has dropped a rat into your purse. Call the exterminator stat.
