I average around 150-200 visitors/day, probably due to folding my portfolio into my blog and giving away a couple of free typefaces and pdf mags for download.

Speaking of stats. I changed the template on my blog and ever since I did it I can't get Google Analytics to work. (I did paste the script back in by the way) Anyone else experience this?
- not with your site no.airey
- Google used to require it near the end of your page, now they're wanting it in the <head>. Maybe this.pastpastdue

Hits represent the total number of requests made to the server during the given time period (month, day, hour etc..).
So basically it's the total of everything viewed regardless of whether it was a human, or a crawler.
I think the best things to look at are average unique visitors per day, average new visitors per day, and average repeat visitors. Bounce rate is very beneficial as well since it's great to know if the content they arrived at is leading them to other parts of your site.

My blog http://www.rickbenedict.com/jams… gets about 100 uniques a day. Sometimes more. This http://www.rickbenedict.com/jams… got picked up by CNN in Asia and I got 64,000 uniques in a week a few months back. Most of the content is about Asian movies and shit.
