iOS 4 is now out! Go download for your crappy 3gs's!

Has it bricked anyone's yet (excluding jail broken ones)? I usually wait a week or so to see what 'fine tuning' may be needed.

I've got some personal issues with some UI functionality, but this thing works like a charm so far...

iOS 4 updates are taking hours (up to 6!) likely cause is Apple's servers being swamped by requests from all the early adopters. If you know what you are doing you can save a lot of time if you desync all apps and media content before updating, i.e. sync to backup, then remove from iPod/iPhone before updating.

My update took 8 hrs, and it's not even done! I had to interrupt it because I had to go to work!! That's crazy!!

My update was like one hour.. and I have 30gigs of music, videos and photos on it?!
- rusty_ace0
odd, I started it at 11 pm last night and it only took an hour to download

anyone with a 3G can tell me if the update works fine?
- Raniator0
Downloaded it at 7.10pm last night. Took 15 minutes to download and install... works fine.

on a 3G the springboard scrolling is snappier, and launching an app to the app start screen is snappier. but loading actual apps is a bit slower.
If you really want the glass dock, unified inbox and folders then go for it, otherwise don't bother because the rest of the additions are boring.

I am not sure I like the multitasking implementation. I can already see the hit in battery performance. I want to be able to close an app directly, not have to call up the multi-tasking menu to do it.

ETM - that is exactly what I was thinking... have a read of this:

Apparently you don't need to worry so I'm gonna just leave stuff open and see how it affects battery life...

Some apps/games are really slow if you have a other apps open at the same time. I gotta close all of them manually?
