section, what is your exercise routine like? 3 days a week is doable for me, not if it's like 2 hours a night. I try to walk/job on the treadmill 3-4 days a week, but only about 10-20 mins. as I am once again just now trying to get my ass in gear. I'm planning to introduce some weights soon (again). Ugh.

I'm just so goddamned pooped at the end of the day with a 2 1/2 year old son, 40+ hour job and freelance clients.

Putting yourself in starvation mode is not how you lose weight, it's how you get fat. If you aren't eating enough, you body goes HOLY FUCK WE'RE DYING and it starts to consume your muscle mass (including your heart) to maintain itself, and everything you eat gets turned into body fat. The more muscle mass you have the more calories you burn just sitting around breathing, so this is a double-whammy.

i agree 100% that microwave crap is not healthy food. i'm not telling you to eat it, only showing what i do in my case. your basic sandwich contains around the same calories– use your brain and substitute what works for you. regardless, even lean cuisines are better than the fast food 100% of fatties eat on a daily basis. in the end i'm STILL eating better and consuming fewer calories and toxins.

exercise may be important to a healthy lifestyle but you're fat so you're not exercising anyway. my system is only for weight loss, not your lack of muscles or any other problem you may have in life.

bottom line, i shared what works for me (notice i called it MY SYSTEM). it's designed for ease of use and it works. obviously spending hours in the gym and having a nutritionist and a cook on hand is a better choice but if you had the will to do all that you would have by now

one of the strengths of my system is because i'm eating four meals a day and doing pseudo-fasts only twice a week "i NEVER ENTER STARVATION MODE". my metabolism has actually sped up

To the men out there.... if "being healthy" or "living longer" isn't enough motivation for you:

I hesitate to post this, because I don't want you thinking I'm an asshole... I'm not gloating, so please don't take it that way. I just want to share something that I've noticed recently that is so strange to me. For the record, I got in shape because I want to be healthy when I'm an old man, but maybe this will inspire you.

Since I've gotten in shape, attractive women (and some men that I assume are gay) who are complete strangers will smile at me on the street. I don't think this ever once happened to me before last year, and I wasn't even obese, just a bit fat and out of shape. Now, I get smiles all the time. The first time it happened, I thought "Whoa, did that hot girl just smile at me?" Then it happened again and again and again. Complete strangers. I'd consider myself average for looks, and I dress well, but not anything out of the ordinary. Apparently being fit is reason enough for strangers to flash a smile. Have you ever seen a pretty girl in the street and wanted to talk to her, but you can't because chances are you'd come across as a creep? I think we've all been there. But, if she smiles at you, it seems to me that saying hello wouldn't be totally unwelcome. Although I haven't tried saying hello, yet.

Anyway, do you have any idea how good that feels? My point is this: There is not a food product on this planet that tastes better than an attractive woman smiling at you as you walk by.

^ I've had similar experiences over the last 6 months/year. I don't attribute it directly to working out more, but to *feeling better about myself* because of it. When you have an air of confidence it changes everything.

    • Good point. Although I think my confidence when talking to attractive women is still pretty low. haha.
