Damn that sounds great. Its so nice to see someone doing this type of thing. I've been floating the idea around of taking a year off, painting and making music. All the best man, keep it up.

egosmoke (& whoever),
how do you just "take a year off"? i dont get how people DO that. how do you pay your bills? do you have a giant stash of savings or something to live off of for an entire year?? i dont get how people support themselves while unemployed.
- all of 2009 i took off work due to an accident i had in january that took me off the field..e-pill
- by the time i started to recover the economy was falling rapidly and i was out of worke-pill
- i lost my entire life savings on medical bills and just trying to stay afloat and unable to worke-pill
- the freelance i have right now is my first job since my accident in jan 2009..e-pill
- i wish i had a giant stash of something green right now!!!e-pill
- I have a job and I still have to dip into my savings...jnnbugg
- Live cheap and burn through savings. Unless I win the lottery.egosmoke
- its doable, but yep, you need to life like a homeless person for 6-9 months before to saveautoflavour

Jose - congrats, hope you enjoy your travellings. I'm just glad you did not mention the Alaska wilderness as a place you plan to visit!
Anyway, what I really wanted to know is, did something at work really push you over the edge? Bad boss, bad client? Or is it just really a combination of things in your field - that made you want to pursue your other interests?

Jose, I envy you. I will do this one day too.
Also, I enjoyed this line of your 'About' section in your Info:
"I'm single, very good looking and I play guitar."
