What is more common in print?
I have to redesign a print ad that an agency did... they did in landscape but it would look better portrait — although they say anything to me abt it...
just make it better !

billboard or press?
half page or full?what kind of question is that?

Print ads are usually formatted to fit into a publication's grid, and money determines the size of the ad. If they asked you to fix it, don't change anything except for the design. Don't be afraid to ask!

thanks for the info... yeah stupid question for sure but im not used to technical print stuff and cant ask them today... cheers

safer to just make it square.
- this is actually a good solutionfxone
- no, it's not, he's fucking with you fxone, wake upmonospaced
- well i made the garphic more centered with negative space so in a way it is a good solution and can be adapted easily to both formatsfxone
- i was joking. have it die-cut into a circle.acescence

iCanHasQBN, i *could understand why some1 would agree with mr. Quack a Lack here but coming from the person who starts threads such as Jaline I cant stop..., or When you hear it and with a name such as yours, c'mon ...can you has humility?

#1: It's not up to you what size or orientation an ad is. It's up to the publication you're doing it for. Your design should be flexible to change to fit any size/orientation.
#2: How can you ask which orientation is more common in print design? Have you ever noticed that 99.999% of every print ad is done in portrait? Have you ever picked up a magazine?
#3: Don't ask us what orientation your ad should be. It is completely NOT up to QBN people to decide this for you. Communicate with the client and with the publication to find out what they need.
#4: Suck my dick. I can start whatever thread I want.
- suck your own dickfxone
- #2: bollocks. What about double page or half page ads? you ever done one? didn't think so__TM
- double & half page ads? thats what i left the .001% for. lol. Plus, he asked which is more common, that is a DUMB question.iCanHasQBN

When I posted my comment this morning, I thought this thread was over. I never thought it would devolve into this...oh, wait...
- me neither but tbh i kinda enjoy it, everyone takes themselves so seriously. its fun ! :)fxone
- In the future, ask your client these questions instead of QBN and you'll avoid the ridicule.monospaced
- oh wait arent you the person who got all worked up cos I wrote END OF THREAD once? shit ure one of them too!fxone
- and if you think i feel ridiculed by this thread you are wrong. on the contrary it amuses me.fxone
- If I said something about your end of thread comment I guarantee I was just making a QBN joke, jeezmonospaced
- I was only trying to help.monospaced

these sort of comments dont afftect me whatsoever because as seriously as people may take themselves, they do not post their work online, most certainly because it's shit. not only that, but while im asking *stupid* stuff because i actually have work to do — even though I mostly DONT work in this industry — these people waste their time answering questions they claim shoudnt be posted in this forum.
Thanks for the laughs and the useful answers:)

Dude, relax a bit... seems you're taking the comments a bit too seriously yourself.
Take the good parts of this thread (read: the responses that answer your questions), learn, and remember there are good people giving straight up good advice here too, if peppered with sarcasm at times.
- no seriously im not. and when i say thanks for the useful answers i mean it it goes to "good people giving straight up good advice"fxone
- i was serious about my 3D comment to anti gravitate away from the sarcastic ones..e-pill
