Did anyone ever had a problem because of showing unfinished work here? I mean, if a client sees a thread with his logo in it, given to the public to be criticized (before official launch), he might be pissed... might even be a legal issue... what do you think?

Yeah, most people don't show their in-process commercial projects here. Usually just finished work, or their personal web sites.

I'm not at liberty to disclose...

On a serious note. Absolutely not - would be extremely unprofessional

No NDA, no problem.

Depends on what the contract says.
It is really more of a benefit to the client to get feed back from other designers and users but they could have a problem with it being public.
QBN should set up a client sharing/critique tool - maybe through krop where people can log into to comment and give feedback on designers sensitive work. The passwords would keep it out of the gen public but the feedback would be invaluable.
Maybe you set up a invite to 20 random QBN'ers to comment on the work in a password protected environment.

yep not a good idea but people do do it on here all the time - particuarly with logs that get panned by everyone

I think it depends on the client but it's generally not a good idea. I rarely link to the client work I do on here anymore. I just direct people to my portfolio or tell them to email me.
The exception is the occasional WTF when I get really desperate.

I don't like to post work any work here unless its a finished product.
If I am having a specific problem and have to post source code I strip out all the client branding and show only skin and bones with abstract content.

if i post even finished work before the movie releases my career is over
