whereRI, it sounds like it's your IT band:
http://www.rice.edu/~jenky/sport…i would def. get a new pair of shoes and see if that helps out. make sure you go to a professional running shop and not some place like champ sports or some shit. they should be able to help you pick a shoe that will best suit you.

i need new earbuds. what are you guys using? i've tried the ones that come with it, the apple in ear ones, some seinheiser sport ones (which sucked), something called "the plug" by koss, and some cheap sony's. looking for something minimal. no over the head or around the ear. just something that fits in my ear and will not fall out when i sweat.

I would recommend a physio whereRI.
A good physio will have you sorted in no time.
Well worth the cost if you can find a good one.

I've been using these jbuds since the start of the winter: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d.ht…
they sound good and I love the no-tangle cord. I would probably opt for the ones that don't have the fancy iPhone mic and controls because when I use them with my iPhone the controls get all dunked up. Especially when I got pandora running. It likes to suddenly switch to my iPod playlist for whatever annoying reasons. Not to mention that the non-compatible Iphone version is ten bucks less I think.
They are good for the price and have already far outlasted the many other pairs I have gone through (Sony, denon, etc) earbuds and sweat don't mix that well together haha

I use the Sony Fontopia ones (old model with no rubber/ movable parts)
Make sure you get the ones with volume control, so you can quickly change volume while running w no need to touch the ipod.
You can get these on eBay, most stores will carry the new Sony ones, which are very different and not as comfortable. You may choose to pay tons more for marketing gimmicks but why spend over $25 on a pair of earbuds, save the money and get some nice headphones instead where you get monitoring quality and proper outside isolation (not for use while running of course).
Hope that helps!

I got in the best run of my LIFE tonight!
1 hour
7 miles
8:38 pace
975 caloriesI am thrilled. Was going to stop at 5 miles and just said "fuck it, let's see what you got." The weather is absolutely beautiful in Chicago today, though I love running in warmer weather.
I'm doing a 5K in May which will be a piece of cake, and I think I'm seriously going to train for a half marathon in September. Gotta stay motivated - hope to fare a bit better in the challenge this month.

It's all the same shit.
Just make sure you replace them every 6 months or so

- Meeklo0
I'll try to get some running tonight, I already skipped monday, need more motivation

How accurate is the nike+ system? I was given an ipod touch (nike+ enabled) and am thinking of buying the sensor, but a friend suggested a Polar Watch (with GPS Sensor)

My running buddy it out :(
Dog ripped the pad off her foot at the dog park today... poor girl. So running will be cut down some. She was doing mornings with me. I need more time in the day!!!!!
