Funny quote from a link on page one...
"Can I ask... Does it really matter if you wash them periodically? What the hell is the difference going to be in how they turn out? I seriously can't fathom why it would be any different washing them every 7-10 wearings versus waiting 100 and finally washing the rankness out.
Is it just supposed to be some major event where you fly your denim friends on a pilgrimage to a well at the top of a hill in a small village in Italy and then once they are washed, someone rings the bell and the whole town celebrates?"

There should be a special term that can be used to describe the pong that emanates from these jeans.

for those interested in learning how to create a unique vintage denim thru customizations i highly recommend to those to purchase this book.
which can be purchased just about anywhere..
also if you are interested in learning about denim's history and every brand ever created then i suggest you purchase the Denim Bible.
both books are bound in denim and have a selvage for a bookmark, bound into the binding. the stitching holding the books together are from red stitch seaming thread.
be a denim whore!!!

i bet you could halve the time by using a light sandpaper to help pick out wear details as they show up

so once you wash 'em and you get that look you're after, can you wash 'em like normal?
- yes. you finally got the point.e-pill
- this technique is only for those interested in that "vintage" looke-pill
- normally to achieve this look you must be buried in a coal mine for 100 million years.e-pill
- i got the point, just giving you guys shit ;)scarabin
- or you can just not wash them for 8 months while sweating buckets of stench ...e-pill
- i'm a big fan of the look, just hate wearing dark washesscarabin
- once the wiskering and distressing occur over your body a template is created.e-pill
- i know you knew the point just giving the shit right back atcha!!e-pill
- :Pe-pill
- once the indigo goes thru its wash, if the wiskering and the distressing naturally occur..e-pill
- then it moves the indigo off the distressed areas and give it that "vintage" feel instantly.e-pill
- and once its all complete that denim will be only for you, an individual item.e-pill
- so when you strut yourself out in public those that know you didnt but that fake distresse-pill
- all for the sake of fashion.
[let the QBN haters enter again]e-pill - their ignorance is utter bliss..e-pill
- ... by which time, baggy raver cords will be back in fashion.inkpink

too bad your steaks taste like scrotum after the freezer treatment
- dorf0
Certainly, not washing your jeans will make them smell after a while, but it's not a repugnant smell or vile odor. I haven't washed mine in about 7 or 8 months,

My jeans don't smell at all. The freezer / damp weather treatment and spot washing if need be takes care of all.

So...I hang my jeans up, folded in half on a rod. Will this wear on raw denim like if I were wearing it?
