Why would Christians believe man is only 2000 year old? Where would that put Moses then? Flying around with tablets before Jesus, the first man?

what exactly goes through your head when reading articles like this? how do you reconcile fact with your religion? do you just dismiss this stuff as "temptation placed by satan" or do you simply edit and delete huge portions of your faith as it becomes convenient? what do your priests think about that practice?
