Freddy Mercury has designed the original Queen band-logo, he had an eduction in Graphic Design. And I think he's better known than any of the designers in that list.
- put his name down, and by popularity, other nominations make it to the list********

I was at a design conference listening to a well-known german designer when this subject came up. He said something like "there's a top nail stylist in the world, too. Do you know who she is? Do you give a shit?". I always think of that when this topic comes up.
- <<d_rek
- i don't give a shit because i'm not interested in nail design********
- Sounds like he a had a relatively low opinion of communication design.Mimio
- I think he has a low opinion of the need for heroes in our profession. He's one of the top information designers, in my opinion.Josev

At the age of 17, Mercury and his family fled from Zanzibar for safety reasons due to the 1964 Zanzibar Revolution.[8] The family moved into a small house in Feltham, Middlesex, England. Mercury enrolled at Isleworth Polytechnic (now West Thames College) in West London where he studied art. He ultimately earned a Diploma in Art and Graphic Design at Ealing Art College, later using these skills to design the Queen crest.

I guess, design rockstars do exist, and him reaching immortality through his days with Queen, I seriously doubt that there is a designer out there that can beat him in terms of fame.
- I vote that he gets added to the listMeeklo
- just need a couple people to initiate him to the list. There are alot of "others" Steve Jobs made the list********
