Actually, what really happened was some dudes started their own take on an already existent genre of music and then after its popularity blew up on the underground level, some marketing dudes heard this and realized they could exploit it to make money. That's how "gangsta rap" got popular. Its called capitalism dude

So this spokesperson for the Israeli government has no other articles, no wiki page, nothing? I think it's pretty clear that the whole thing is made up, with the intention of spreading misinformation, probably by some anti-semitic group out there.

I never liked gangsta rap. That's probably because I've always been an east coaster. However, knowing and experiencing gansta rap when it first aired on radio and tv, I can safely say that it did somewhat promoted a violence towards whites. Which if you read the article, that is what was said. Whites in those times were represented many ways and one image used in representation was the police. (not the rock band, but men with authority who would beat you up, frisk you, harass you because you were black)

what does being an east coaster have to do with disliking gangsta rap? was there no gangsta rap on the east coast? you realize the "east coast" encompasses everything along the eastern seaboard of the united states (including NY, NC, "hot"lanta, etc.), all places that have heavy roots to gangsta rap?
i'm an east coaster too, but none of this is relevant, just like the article you keep going back to.
