about time.
right now you need 20 for an order of fries.
- discoduro0
A great practical redesign of an iconic product.
- They cost more!boobs
- What doesn't cost more these days? People demand convenience, which comes at a price.********
- They might cost more, but you need fewer. They hold more. With this, it's a lower package/ketchup ratio.monospaced

not bad at all i agree...finally a decent redesign
- prophet0NE0
cool. it also ties in nicely to the actual bottled product which is what i assume they want you to also have on hand in the fridge.

more garbage in fast food joints = FAIL
- good point... but what if it were the case that one of these replaces 3-5 conventional packets?prophet0NE
- any redesign of a disposable package that is not eco-friendlly, is inexcusable in this day and age.inkpink
- isn't any disposable packaging not eco-friendly by definition? how do we solve for A?prophet0NE
- just encouraging more trash. no reason why restaurants can't have bottles on table or at least a pumpinkpink
- that's a to-go packet, dudePonyBoy
- i agree about sit-downs, what about the take-out drive-thrus?prophet0NE
- there are a lot of new eco plastics that could have worked for tray...inkpink
- assuming no eco mention and comment about cost challenge means more petroleum plasticinkpink
- don't care if it's "to-go"... you know a hand full of these go into every bag out the window.inkpink
- i think your right about the plastic but maybe better practices are in order at the chains to reduce the number of packet handouts.prophet0NE
- ...packets that are handed out.prophet0NE
- prophet is correct, this is designed to save on packaging...they wouldn't do this to lose moneymonospaced

STOP THE DEATH OF INNOCENT TOMATOES!
- prophet0NE0
Footage: http://mms.businesswire.com/bwap…
- just look how it nestles in so nicely in the styrofoam container. it can be tossed out the window after use.prophet0NE
- gross how much ketchup that lady dumps in her cheeseburgerinkpink
- the food court shot, i was thinking the same thing... it's a ketchup burger with a side of meat.prophet0NE
- Gucci0
Probably a lot more material goes into making one of these vs. the old ones.
- kinda like hybrid cars... say what?prophet0NE
- probably? definitely.inkpink

it's amazing what passes as "innovation" these days.
haven't these shaped dip pots been in the UK/Europe for ages now?
- <utopian
- Wendy's sauce packs: http://www.x-enterta…prophet0NE
- they have been everywhere, its just like what discoduro said several comments up.kerraaang
- imakethepictures0
Wait. They WILL put a camera in it.
- nope, and unfortunately it contains the same tomato-based os as per the old product.prophet0NE
- does it run Flash, though?imakethepictures
- it'll flash your bowels?prophet0NE

Better, but it's not as if those will be easier to pack. Those other tear packets could fit into d@mn near anything.

I don't get why tomato ketchup is soooooo popular, it's so over-powering and sweet, disgusting.
- The stuff stems from Germany, pushed by German-Americans and popularized, probably due to the lack of taste in meat, etc. for ages.********

yes but will i still be able to put them underneath the toilet seats in the mens washroom, so when someone comes in and sits down the pressure pops the packets all over their trousers?!?
- monospaced0
To everyone saying that this is just more packaging than the old style, stop for a second and think about it. Why in the world would Heinz invest in a redesign if the end result would cost them more? They wouldn't!
The fact is that this new design is not only more convenient, it holds 3x more ketchup. The end result is less packaging used in the long run. This is good.
- it doesn't cost them more. have you ever looked at the price/weight ratio of products such as ketchup in a shop?lowimpakt
- even so, it's still not innovation.lowimpakt
- I said it was saving them money and packaging, dude. Learn to read.monospaced

Ultimately, this will save them money. They wouldn't do for any other reason. So....

What a waste of a fucking thread.
- Are you morons serious... fing ketchup? Get back to fing work.********
- HAHA********
- At least it's design-related, CumWurkmonospaced

Anyone who eats ketchup may as well just eat a piece of shit. Oh yes, believe it. Take some worms, some bird droppings, some horse shit and some really harsh chemicals. Blend them all together with a few tomatoes, add some fing salt and put THAT shit in your fries.
Enjoy.
- flashbender0
why do you say "fucking" in the post, but in your comments you use "fing"
You lack consistency.

- Cause the comments is a smaller area? So I truncate my writing?********
