Mars is anyways earth's mirror into the future...- If you study the planets there is some weird progression of looking in the future. +1 for that.********

IMHO It seems unlikely that life could have ever existed on Mars.
It's never been able to keep an atmosphere, has lost most of it's hydrogen early on, has no tides influence, is extremely cold and is constantly bombarded by asteroids.
