Does anyone know the proper way to format and display a twitter username on business cards?

twitter: @iamadouchebagontwitter ?

my friend does the "twitter: @name" format. hasn't caused any confusion yet.
- why do you need the @ if it says twitter next to it? fucking idiotic********
- why do people put http:// before a www. when they say "website:"? its a convention, even though we know its not necessary.armsbottomer

Incorporate a fail whale in some capacity on the card and induce knowing smirks and feelings of affection from other twitter users. depends on the market you're aiming for, you know self impressed douchebags with short attention spans.
- LEGAL DISCLAIMER: I am a self impressed douchebag with a short attention span********

- rank, boilerplate cynicism. You have to pay me for more elaborate cynicism.********

Do you want people to think you are a twat? Don't do it!
... I think that sums up the QBN thinking on this subject matter.

why don't you just tattoo "CUNT" to your forehead so we can tell what you are before we read your business card- What? That would totally ruin the aesthetics of my sunglass tattoo********

i enjoy my twitter but on a business card? absolutely no way.
if you really must, "twitter: @username" would be correct

i'm not a fan of twitter by any means, but i can still see the benefits of adding a twitter account to a business card. it is called a "business card". if you didn't want to get your name out there, why have a business card in the first place?
just because you tweet doesn't make you a ass... its what you tweet about that determines that.
- Seems unnecessary, studenty and a desperate attempt to appear current.gjd
- lol...
"current"gjd - "studenty"?armsbottomer
- wrong, using twitter at all makes you an ass********

Your website should have all that transient kind of crap on it, surely not a business card? Not unless you work for twitter.

I actually put my twitter feed on mine, even thought it made me cringe a little at first but I use twitter to give previews of new work, get opinions and show work in progress of projects so I think it's become quite important personally.

you gonna put your facebook fanpage on their too? and flickr? and tmublr? and and and?
tacky.
- wordsarepictures0
I don't see why you wouldn't have a flickr link if that's your schtick? Facebook is different but I just think if you're using it as a tool as opposed to some bitching post then why not?
- Either way, it's done. I have 498 new cards at home so it'll be on there for a while yet.wordsarepictures
- and it will look really stupid when you cant be arsed with it in 4 months********

- i guess you just drive down goodhill road til ya find himlinearch
- Get rid of the white space and make it 15mm x 22mm, then we'll see who's being fucking minimalisticgjd
- Agreed but this is of course before websites, email, mobiles, faxes and, indeed twitter. Maybe Mr Rand would've thought all of those to be equally 'tacky'wordsarepictures
- Doesn't a black border mean "death."boobs
- no black border, it was just shot on black then cropped. and yea, this is def before the net, but still a nice card :)deadfinch

(This is usually the point in a Business Card thread that someone post's the Business Card Scene from American Psycho.)

I've got you marked, mjf825 - come the revolution, your back shall be amongst the first against the wall.

i think of any social networking site that you'd put on your business card, twitter is the only one that might label you as a "forward thinker". like it or not, information is going mobile, and people like to be privy to other's eating habits and bowel movements at a moment's notice.

I just designed cards for a friend who is starting an iPhone marketing company. I've chosen to list his twitter with the rest of the info
twitter accountname
aim accountname
phone xxx-xxx-xxxx- with alignment, of course
his company necessitates this info, by the waymonospaced - wtf is iPhone marketing? It has enough of it's own marketinggjd
- AIM?DrBombay
- with alignment, of course
