LOL
"Canada's Mike Douglas was disqualified from the men's skeleton competition on Friday after failing to arrive in time at the pre-race equipment control area.
Douglas was sitting in seventh overall after Thursday's opening two runs, 0.96 off the pace and with a shot at the bronze medal."
Oh noes.

- Something strange is happening here...juhls
- jealous people should never get involved with anyone who likes to skateismith
- i mean I have no idea who these people are and I already want to punch him for the girl...ismith
- and i mean that in the least viking way possible, i would actually take the time to get to know her probablyismith
- i would even release her on requestismith
- not that i'm suggesting i would have trapped herismith
- after bludgeoning her bf/partner to deathismith
- none of that would have happenedismith
- i just think we could make a good couple ya knowismith
- dear god what have i said here
SHMITTY OUTismith - yup. same goes for dancers. I meant "special" in terms of the weird blending of the photos, but what you said works too :)juhls
- lol @ your subsequent notes. A lot of these people (not these 2 specifically) are siblings. So awkward.juhls
- my mistake then, he must be holding his sister's bosom so that nobody else can see themismith
- perfectly understandableismith
- ..."hey, you wanna be my olympic sister?" *shifty eyes then side stepping into dance movesismith
- I'm a little surprised at how afraid anyone is to talk about it in a groupismith
- I mean I bring this up all the time and everyone just starts looking nervous and going uhh uhhhhismith
- none of this means anything thoughismith
- i'm genuinely smitten by her appearance, whoever the girl is in these picturesismith
- i woulda become an ice skater but I think I'd rather not have to pretend like we aren't having sex every 30 minutesismith
- even though most of them fail miserably at pretending. oh here i am, going on again...ismith
- twiddling my thumbs nowismith
- whistling the andy griffith theme songismith

Oh, so hockey was on MSNBC (channel 63 for me)... THAT'S where it's been all along... can anyone post the times for each game? Or when they'll be broadcasted in the US if you know? I haven't caught a game yet because the I couldn't find anything on the channel guide.

Anyone like these "Believe" commercials. I think they're quite good, but the ending needs to change. None of the athletes can say "Do you believe" in a convincing way. Poorly worded.

Medals so far... total (gold)
US: 21 (9)
Germany: 13 (4)
Norway: 10 (2)
Canada: 8 (1)Canada's gotta step it up! I'm a little surprised China isn't higher on the list. I caught a little earlier today, are they supposed to take women's freestyle?
- i think you're confusing gold for bronzesequoia
- oh maybeismith
- shit whoops thanks for pointing that out. my eyes are getting worse...ismith

4ismith - MY BADismith
- Canada had 24 last time and the USA had 25. I think USA is going to get much higher, and Canada is going to get lower.juhls
- It's weird because they're at the top of most of the World Cup races, but they get beaten at the Olympics.juhls
- juhls0
Oh god, I don't know if I can watch this short track final. Apolo, two Koreans, and two Canadian brothers.

Lago almost got his halfpipe bronze taken away by IOC for this stunt... sent home instead.
- that's so stupidismith
- If I was 22 and just won an olympic medal i'd be doing worse things than that.Tungsten
- Dumb rule, but if he knew he had to stay clear of this kind of stuff, it's his own problem.juhls
- The worst should have been ridicule, not being out of a competition.juhls
- They didnt almost take it away over this. They didnt take Phelps away after doing weed.CygnusZero4

Those pics of Lago are pretty innocent. When I first heard of it I excepted the worst. The IOC are a bunch of stiffs.
- Yeah they are. The IOC is a bunch of stiffs. Dude is 22 and just won a medal, let him have some fun.CygnusZero4

Chris Del Bosco has an amazing story behind him. Hope he can make it.
- juhls0
"Del Bosco was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Prior to joining the Canadian freestyle ski team, he had problems with substance and alcohol abuse that had led to him being stripped of two national titles, and at age 21 was discovered drunk in a ditch with a broken neck.[1] His sister convinced him to go into rehab and judge saved him from going to jail for another year after he was convicted of another DUI. After this he received an offer from the Canadian ski team who had heard about Del Bosco and his Canadian passport, Del Bosco's father was Canadian. Del Bosco was offered a spot on the team despite the character risks he carried with him, Del Bosco then agreed to join the Canadians."
- oh nooooo, he fell and came in 4th. wow.juhls
- that is going to hurt...juhls
- What happened?ismith
- He was 4th place, then went into 3rd, and he caught some soft snow and was over-ambitious to get silver.juhls
- He could have bronze if he stayed the course and didn't try to cut a corner really quickly. So sad.juhls
- ismith0
"There were several spectacular crashes on the Cypress Mountain course, which was constructed using snow-covered hay bales due to weather issues at the West Vancouver venue."
Wait really? All this time I didn't realize it was just hay underneath... that's gotta be a pain in the ass to maintain, even for a short period of time.
- If it wasn't for the Olympics Cypress would've been closed due to a lack of snow.sequoia
