If you want a phone now, just buy the iPhone. Otherwise i'd say, just wait a year and see how these iPhone OS competitors evolve...

if you're thinking about the hero you should hold out for the Motorola Droid/Milestone

Already available in Germany, goes on sale here in the UK around the 1st of January - don't know when it will be in Belgium.
Also in another thread other phones were mentioned as worth getting: http://www.qbn.com/topics/606692…

I've got a hero, it's quite nice and there's a few useful apps I've found so far but it seems the apps side of it is a bit limited at the moment but I figure Android is something that's going to get bigger over the coming year or two so if you're not too fussed about installing the latest app to tell you when to fap over new apple releases etc then you should be ok to choose a Hero.
One of the things I didn't like was that it tends to automatically sync with a gmail account over your outlook contacts so if like me, all your work contacts are outlook based rather than Gmail it can be a bit of a pain disabling all the google integrated bits but it's got some nice feautres overall.
- you should change your name to run-on-sentencemonospaced

So you work on a mac... and have a mobileMe account... hmmm... what would work well with those? hmmm... I reckon... um no... ah! Wait a minute! I've got it! You should go with the hero!
