First thing I thought was how nice the JF blend together but how it does not come back in the name "JAQUELINE'S" .. I have to guess the F stands for the "florist"...
Quite like it, however, there seems to be more weight on the bottom part rather than on the top part, so it seems the balance is a bit off ..
You're on the way for sure, but it needs some more thought maybe ..
Maybe try using the elements seperately .. the JF and the JAQUELINE'S ..

Any ideas how to make the j look less like an i? I think formally the jf looks nice but you are right about it looking like 'if'.

I really like it but I'd have to agree with Jordy; the link between the 'J' for 'Jacqueline's' & the 'F' for 'Florist' is a bit loose. Have you tried having 'Jacqueline's Florist' on one line with 'Wellington below?

Could you extend the length of the descender on the 'J' a bit more to tackle the 'IF' comment?

- Both show Jacqueline’s Florist on one line for connection with f, bottom has extended jthatboyneave
- yeah that looks better!jimzyk

Bottom one is quite lovely, much more sophisticated that a florist logo would suggest and I can see the ligature working well on wrapping paper and embossed onto cards and such like. It reads as jf to me too, no suggestion of 'if'.
Id suggest ending the thread now while you're on top!
- Haha thanks :) You read my mind with the wrapping paper.thatboyneave

- I did go down this road but I liked the subtle differences between top of f and bottom of j. Goes to show great minds think alike though.thatboyneave

^like baskerville's feedback
the same in italic?*(I read a bit a styled H on the Jf)

Honestly, it reads perfectly. I don't know why these guys think the j looks like an i, because it doesn't. If you want just a little more difference, I would suggest descending the j descender a little more.

put a dot under the f and a bar through both... i 'm into ambigrams lately

I like it a lot, think its really good.
I don't read it as 'if' now with the changes you've made. (dropping the j really helped that)should be lovely with some tasty colour.
