7D looks pretty nice, feels pretty nice in your hand, too. No experience with it, though, but am personally looking at that or the 5DMkII (or if Nikon ever comes out with their D800).

the 7d does look nice. I am intrigued by the video mode on it. i suppose it would mean I wouldn't have to get a video camera in the near future either.

t1i
7d has more features (19pt autofocus or something) and maybe a little better low light capability, but its so much more expensive than the t1i. if you are going to spend that kinda cash, just get the 5dmkii. at t1i's price, you can buy a nice lens or two (50mm f/1.4 and maybe 135 f/2L)

I'm sure I'm the only one who thinks so, but the Pentax K7 is a damn nice camera for the money.
- i am sure it is, i have played with some pentaxes before, but i have some canon lenses already :Pspifflink
- I had 3 Pentax bodies (istDS, K100D, K10D), kept updating them hoping they'd improve AF and high ISO...raf
- I ended up getting a second hand 5D, just to try it. Sold all Pentax gear soon after that, never looked back...raf
- OK, I do look back sometimes, pentax with its individuality hype is a nice niche to be part of ;)raf

sweet, i am getting the t1i with the 18-55mm kit lens (there is an awesome black friday deal with the lens, might as well). maybe one day i'll be awesome enough to justify the purchase of a 5d mkII. now i can afford a 35mm fixed and some other cool stuff hooray!

compare canon's 35mm F2 to the 28mm F1.8, the 28/1.8 has very smooth AF....the 35mm F2 does not....
