Thanks for the feedbacks guys, how about the quality of the works?

your SWF height doesnt make any sence?
- meaning your MC scroll bar doesnt work when using the magic mouse wheel. it scrolls the browser window.sureshot
- Yeah, I'm still figuring that out. Thankslivewithanimation
- @the work section..sureshot
- I researched a little bit on that, not sure if there is much I can do about that.
livewithanimation - yap
livewithanimation - just change the SWF height in your html to the actual hight.sureshot
- got it. How about the quality of my works, could you take a look thanks.livewithanimation
- this seems to be very importent to you. I do like you work very much. now lose the damn browser scrollbar! :)sureshot

I don't think your rounded corners on the actual images matches your site- great work though! high five
- they are not consistent with the formattraut
- got it, I should really clean it up more. and let the works come out more.
livewithanimation - thanks again.livewithanimation

the works itself is decent
site loads quickly for me
overall design of the site feels canned- thanks for the feedback.livewithanimation

yeah I like the movement and the bar across the top, nice

I think it's kinda clunky having that big grey bar move along with the sections. Why not fix it the top and keep it there?
Typography seems like an afterthought.
- Thanks. The grey bar is definitely something I'm still tinkering with. It was made with the intent to be the loader as the the page appears. I thought about loosing that completely.livewithanimation
- I agree the type will need to be more consistent through out the site. It is definitely in the works.livewithanimation
- How about the quality of the works from the work section? Thanks for the feedbacks.livewithanimation

The work needs some context. I want to know what I'm looking at and what you did.
I think the work overall is ok. Looks like you're a stronger illustrator than you are a designer though?
- I'd play your illustration skills up more.acrossthesea
- thanks, I will continue to work at my chops and be more well rounded.livewithanimation
- I do enjoy letting my illustration style come through my designs.livewithanimation

Too much work. focus on your top 8-10.
give some context, ie: the project goals and how you met them, or at least credits where they're due if you worked on a team.the portfolio item styling (read: rounded, dropshadow), doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the website.
I get a browser scroll bar in FF3.0, Win2k @ 1280/1024
- Thanks for your feedback. Narrowing down the works is definitely something I been thinking about doing.livewithanimation

Does it need to be flash?
- dyspl0
the works are good, but way too small imo

why can't I scroll with my scroll?

I don't really understand why you have apparently done the title sequence for a fairly large motion picture and at the same time an ecard for cincinnati...
without any information (or video for that matter) it makes me suspect you didn't actually produce the title sequence.
I would lose the browser scrollbar, the //'s in your menu, style your flash scrollbars and add some information to your work: project, medium, client, agency, role etc...
personally I would remove the paint texture too, but that wouldn't leave much and is probably subjective.
- Thank, I definitely need more context to support my works. The title sequence was experimental. I agree I need to separate them out into sections.livewithanimation

I agree with skt on the paint texture, all that screen real estate and the work itself is pretty small, especially the logos all squeezed into a tiny little thumbnail, fighting for prominence against the paint textures.
I'd edit back the work too, remove some of the ads and weaker materials and have some classification between the works. At the moment I can't understand why there are line breaks between clusters of projects, a heading or two would work to seperate them into relevant clusters as some clients might not want to look at print work (for instance) if they are looking for an animator.
Did you write the script for the film 21?
- thanks for the constructive feedbacks.livewithanimation
- 21 was an experimental project. I wrote the script, shot and produced it.livewithanimation

take out hyphens in your resume & read it out aloud!!
- Thanks, I'll definitely have to proof read it again and again with English been my second language.livewithanimation

There is too much going on in the page. The work seems to get lost. I would perhaps change the visited state to something different to the rollover.

your navigation takes up 50% of the screen (two columns, the first of which is almost empty), leaving only 50% of the screen for your content. this would be ok if it was a conscious design decision to have some white space, but here it looks kind of overnavved, with your tiny content displays all squashed, if you know what i mean. the fat bar of unused space to the right of your site looks like a bad design decision also, as opposed to an intentional choice.
- I understand. Overall I think I really need to put more time towards the user exp. from all the comments I have gotten.livewithanimation
- Could you offer me some suggestions on my workslivewithanimation
- Thanks for your feedbacklivewithanimation

Total and complete crap... sorry.

I gotta say, you have a great positive attitude and it's nice to see that you really want to improve your work.
Like I said before, I really like your illustrative stuff, but when it translates into design/layout it feels a bit off to me. I'd recommend really getting acquainted with basic grid systems in designs and typography conventions. Work on these foundation concepts and it will make you a better designer in any medium you choose (interactive, motion, identity, etc). These books helped me out when I was getting started:
