Textpad, jeez you lot.

Dreamweaver code view. I like the design view for inserting images or whatever. Saves some typing.

By hand, with paper and a quill ink pen.

By hand. A few years ago I got a new computer and didn't install a WYSIWYG so that I would be forced to write code by hand. Much more efficient and a million times cleaner.

I work mainly in BBEdit by hand. I did try out Coda not too long back and liked it quite a bit, just need to justify buying ANOTHER code program...
Dreamweaver is good, especially when you're having to build table-based emailers using a combo of code view and table-view to check how things are going.
I'd say go with the hand, it's much more satisfying.
Just my two pence.

BBEdit for me, may switch to Coda one day if I'm feeling rich

By hand. I was one of those people that learned on Dreamweaver, so I was victim to that crappy bloated DW rollover code for about 6 years. 3 years ago I decided to start writing the code by hand and haven't looked back since. I'm no expert, but I'm a million times better than I used to be.

Coda was on sale a while back for cheap. That's the only reason I bought it. It will go on sale again I bet.

Dreamweaver all the way for me, I'm crap at writing and coding, to slow, and I make to many mistakes when writing the code. Do you lot also hand code Post script when in Indesign. WTF.

All by hand all the time. except when copy and pasting!
textmate is good, I dont like the autocomplete on it though i find dreamweaver far more intuative.DW split view is good for doing html emails. thats about the only time i let it do anything for me!
