Who wants to place bets on when Goonies gets a remake? Monster Squad?
- The entire cast of 'Goonies' has been signed on for a '20 years later' sequel for a long time now.harlequino

It doesn't need remaking

saw this yesterday. it didn't ruin the old one for me like i was expecting. though the 3D was a bit gratuitous and distracting.

the movie was horrible.... add this one to the list of shitty remakes... (willie wonka, alice in wonderland and this one)
the story was different slightly.... which sucked... some things didnt make any sense, and once again.... they cut so much time out of the movies every scene is rushed.... this makes the story make no sense.
aside from the fx, the original was much much better....

Does this mean Jason and the Argonauts are in pre-production? We've done Troy and 300, any chance of a decent version of a live-action 3D interpretation of Ulysses 31? The render from Avatar would come in handy?

Is it worth seeing in 2D?
- Its not worth seeing in 3d, or even 4d if that existed.CygnusZero4

it can't be any worse than the first one, I liked it when I was 5 but I just re-watched it and I couldn't even finish it.
- The first one is amazing! What are you talking about fooler2?********

I saw it IN 3D! a few days ago. I enjoyed it. It should be obvious that you're not watching this for the deep and engaging story. Like the original its just an excuse to slap you around the head with some cool effects and monsters — and I think on that front it delivers in spades. Ralph Fiennes hams it up as Hades, and Mads Mikkelsen as Draco is boss. Sam Worthington is a bit of a wet rag though.
RELEASE THE KRAKEN!
