I got these from Dogfunk.com and had them shipped to Point Roberts (I live 5min from the border). Not only did I save 125$ from the exchange rate the guy was nice enough not to charge me duty. I also got my 32 boots cheap.
- These guy well with reverse camber boards btw. Got these on my nana'.lobstarr

negatives ... you loose a lot of flex, watch your knees (it moves the stress below the knee), compacted snow (ice) in clip areas, and the "herm" factor. perks ... you will be the first one ready to go off the lift, click, click. fast mount/dismount. unclick. unclick.
I tested the Burton's ones for a few months in 2000. It's fun for riding down the hill.

I didn't even know they still made these kind of bindings. I had to check the date to see if someone filters a thread that was 8 years old.
They're notorious for being rental board bindings, and the boots are extremely heavy, plus they do gunk up with snow making them hard to get in and out of in the backcountry.
That being said I always wanted them just for the ease of getting in and out of. I tried Switch Binding about 4 years ago and hated them but went back to them last year and started to really like them. They feel a little loser than straps but I don't get that toe numbness from strapping down too hard.- any other differences between them and straps? u still feel the same level of control ?WeLoveNoise
- It's a lot loser feeling, at first I didn't feel as responsive but I've adapted.fooler2

I remember back in 94 Burton was trying to push a baseplate-less binding system, to give you more feel on the board ...

Just wondering - Would one refer to asking for product feedback after having bought the thing as a 'fakey'?
- or is it 'buying goofy'?detritus
- more likely, 'fail'.shitehawke

Purchase fail.

People have had problems with these in the past, trying to get in and out when it's cold or lots of snow has accumulated on the baseplate.
