Hello,
I need to print 60 pages F/B in color for a project,
I decided to buy a new printer just for it,
which printer do you have?? and what is a decent one for under $100
- graham0
under $100? decent? aren't they all pretty much the same under $100?
Usually pay more than that for ink

Your better off going to staples. Atleastyou will get better quality

Sorry went awol for the day,
sadly good cheap printer don't exist here, I did a quick math and realize if I had to spend 80€ on a A4 print job, I rather just buy a small printer and use it for this.
so ANY ideas??
just tell me what you have at home.

Good cheap printers don't exist at all. graham is right; a set of ink for a decent printer approaches your limit.
Honestly, go with Epson and avoid all-in-ones.

Thanks mono, I feel like a cheap ass,
but i'm sick of the local printer fucking up my work,
so Epson it is then- I can't believe you'd blame a local printer for fucking up your work. All they do is print.monospaced
- Let me just tell you that the most reliable printer I found here is in germany, I ship my prints because they suck at qualityGeorgesII
- quality and finish.
yeah they actually just print but when 5 same page come back in 5 different shade, I need to start asking QuestionsGeorgesII - maybe make sure they have your color profile and don't use their ownMal

my a3 epson is nearly 10 years old and still going strong-ish

maybe you can buy a secondhand epson a couple generations old? i have an epson 2200 and it still prints nicely - check ebay perhaps.
- GeorgesII0
I'm thinking about dusting my old epson A3, I don't even know if they still sell the ink charges

Do you write detailed specs for your print projects? Do you ask for physical, color-accurate proofs? Do you request drawdowns for any tricky ink moves you might make? Do you attend press checks?
Unless do all of these things, it's unfair to blame your local commercial printer for poor results. Unless of course you're talking about Kinkos or something.
- Pretty sure he's talking about a Kinkos-alike, but you're right. I'm slowly learning this.ismith
