Frankly, it's a little hard to decide when they're right next to each other. I would just set the baseline closest to any graphics or body text. So if "Our Mission" was going on the far left, use #2...

When I'm laying down on the couch with my laptop on the coffee table I lay on my left side so my right hand is free to type. this makes #2 my favourite.

it should be different for everyone. With me, going left to right, my left eye goes right to the OUR in #2 then I can read the rest. With #1 left to right, I go right to MISS and have to go up, then down to read it.
So it depends from which side I'm gonna try reading it. Fascinating stuff.
