This dude sitting across from me at his desk is coughing up into the air every minute without covering his mouth with no care for anyone around.
How do people go their whole lives without any regard for social etiquette. Is it that hard to cover your mouth or wash your hands after you go to the bathroom?

My 4 month old has the swing cold (runny nose, no temp) but my oldest has 8 kids in her class out and there are about 20 schools that are shut down for the rest of the week.

Well I don't know if it was H1N1, but I just got over a really bad flu. I had a fever that was over 101 degrees F at times, chills, fall asleep only to wake up drenched in sweat. You know, all the fun stuff. It seriously wiped me out for about 3 or 4 days. Haven't been sick that bad in a really, really long time. I didn't visit the doc to check for swine flu because I hate going and I figured it was too late for me anyway.

I agree that it was completely blown out of proportion .. but I'm not sure Baxter Int. invented it.
AFAIK a lot of viruses exist in lab conditions, but not in the wild.

So, one year ago it was the first sign of the apocalypse... countries bought millions of flu shots... and, suddenly the subject falls into the abyss and its not a problem anymore.
Same thing with BP oil leak, it was a super catastrophe this summer and suddenly, everything was ok.
