I moved here (Denver) from LA too. Nothing at all similar about the two.
There's some grass in the city, the climate is similar to LA, but with a winter. Desert/dirt surrounds everything (I miss the green of New England, water, etc.)

Why is this a conversation? No shit Denver isn't like LA. Let me drop this bomb ... Denver isn't like New York. FYI FYI FYI!

obviously don't drink and drive anywhere cause its fucking stupid, but really don't do it here, i heard that they are CRAZY about it and you pretty much never drive again when you get caught.

I like Longmont. Not sure I could have lived there myself but I did the Den > Boulder commute everyday and back for a year and a half before I lost my shit and found a job downtown...

Personally, If you're going to live in colorado and work down on the flats the front range mountain towns are where it's at. I live up above Boulder toward Nederland. Beautiful, quiet, lots of trails, ski area within 15 minutes. And a short drive down and you in the city.

BTW, the whole hippy stereotype around here is way overblown. It's a college town, there's going to be a couple of hippies.

420 Fest
A large celebration is held every year on the University of Colorado's Boulder campus, with attendance reaching more than 10,000 in 2008. In 2009, it has been estimated that the crowd reached over the 10,000 attendee mark that was set in 2008. This would make CU Boulder's celebration of the hopeful legalization of marijuana one of the largest such celebrations in the United States

How often do you hang out at the 'Bus Stop' - america's 2nd worst strip club

I would suggest Louisville, Longmont, Broomfield or Westminster.... they're 20 min bus/car rides into town and you get a ton more space for the price.
Denver isnt bad to live in, but if you're commuting everyday to Boulder it can get irritating in the winter.

Whats with all the people saying Boulder is full of white people?
What else is it supposed to be full of? illegal immigrants?
It's America! 73% of the country is white you fooltards. It's the mountains! they're is no welfare and barrio's in the mountains!
- what he means is that there are only 67 black people there so if you are black you will be the 68thSrSamaurai
