Hi All,
If I have an indesign file that has a bleed and I export it to PDF, How do I keep that bleed, without it cropping my bleed, when I export it?
When I view the PDF after it has been exported the bleed has been cropped away.. How do I fix that?
Thanks so much!

check 'include slug area'

okay word!
Thanks man

in your document setup, you can set your slug area to match you bleed

Whats the matter with "Use document bleed area" or specifying your own?
Who uses slug in this day and age?

Is it a bleed you drew yourself or is it an automated bleed? if it's only the automated bleed, there's no need to include slug area, only indicate how much bleed there is in the document.
If you drew the bleed yourself, then include a slug area

ok, then set your bleed settings in document setup. then check include bleeds in export..
slug haters :P

slug area ≠ bleed area, but the settings for bleed are in the same place.

Slug area has nothing to do with bleed.

yeah wtf all this talk of slugs?
just enter your desired amount for bleeds in the bleed fields and your page's bleed is cropped to that mark. that is assuming your art is already extending off page dimensions.
the bleed won't show if you view the pdf in acrobat unless you go into crop settings or print production.
if you want to double check you bleed and reg marks a good trick is drop the PDF back into illy and open a page.
