BTW, I was told my spine was a bit more straight than the s curve from the side. Also, from the back view, it wasn't perfectly straight. My right hip is a bit higher, and my right shoulder is a bit higher. Seems to be too slight to pay for 6 sessions at least. I'm sure most people don't have perfect spines.

just found out that we're switching insurance 10/1 and we'll have "alternative" medicine covered! I can finally go back to the chiropractor

There's some pretty fucked up views of chiropractors on here. Of course there will be shonky ones out there but to say they don't work or don't treat underlying causes is off the mark.
Does taking a painkiller or some heavily marketed prescription drug treat the cause? Does it fuck.

I choose Physical Therapy over Chiropractor all day.
Your bones adjust themselves as they need to. Forcing them into a new position when they aren't ready seems unnecessarily dangerous.- right? it requires strengthening and stretching.sarahfailin

I hate doctors. I had coughs about 10 years ago, and the doctor said I might have acid reflux. Gave me nexium, and they made me feel worse. Looking back, I would have been better off with a diet change rather than these pills fucking with the acids in stomach. I want to be cured, not help pay for your massive student loans.
There's been 3 seperate times where doctor's said "I don't know" as to what I have. How am I suppose to get better.

this is the most bullshit of all professions. Higher than homeopathy and fucking palm reading.
Does jack shit, and 100% unnecessary, plus it's killing our playboy models.
* have a chiropractor client coming into the office tomorrow hehe.

They're great for certain things and not great for others. If you have a dislocation and need to move bones (and don't require surgery) they're the best. I've never had much luck with them for soft tissue injuries.
If you're in PDX this guy is awesome: http://www.bridgetownchiropracti…
- Agree - my chiro, physio and mt share my chart and all work holistically on me.see_thru

Has anyone got their necks adjusted? I heard there's risks of stroke or something else? I got my neck adjusted about 6 times 4 years ago, and then later got vertigo. I'm not sure if the vertigo was related to the neck crack. Was feeling light headed, and decided to do it again about 2 years ago, and felt great afterwards. Everything felt better but it only lasted for about a month. I'm not sure if I need to do it several times for a longer effect, or if that's risky.
- scares the fuck out of me. I went once and never got another adjustment.sarahfailin

Seems like I go about once a year, but I should go more often when my back is jacked up. At the first sign of discomfort I'll stretch more and watch chiropractic videos. Here are a few of my favorite youtube channels:
