ponyboy, you make me sick. if you hate az so much, then fucking leave. how is the train (light rail) useless?!? you have to be fucking kidding me. try to make it better or leave.

alright, i got a little heated there ponyboy. i can't help it, spent most of my life there and never had much to complain. moved around, but i still call phoenix home.

ignore the haters. it's a lovely town albeit a bit too big, making it a pain to go anywhere. studderine has made you a good list. downtown is the place to be on first fridays so if you are in town the first friday in december, be sure to check it out. light rail is far from useless and will get you anywhere in phx/downtown area. although if you stay in glendale, light rail does not go that far.

rent a car and drive to jerome (may be cold there in dec but it's an amazing town in the mountains full of art galleries). stay at the jerome grand hotel for the evening and have dinner at the Asylum. phenomenal food. http://www.azjerome.com

i know a lot of great restaurants. happy to recommend some if you like. tutti santi is my favorite italian restaurant and that's in glendale

after reading all of this, I started thinking "Phoenix isn't that bad..." then studderine pissed on my city with "vegas is even worse! haha oh man, nevada really sucks!".
The reason why I didn't think Phoenix sucked that bad is because it's really similar to Vegas: uncontrolled urban sprawl, hot as fuck, scorpions, no culture... hot as fuck.

bianco's is delicious indeed - as a matter of fact... we have some 'okay' food here for sure...
... but that TRAIN IS USELESS!!! In my own dirty little way... I wished I could have been there when that moron ran right into it the other day... how the fuck do you not see that nasty green and purple turd heading your way? ^ponyboy, providing mass transit is useless? if anything, this is one of the things arizona has done right the last few years. the ridership is more than anyone expected in the state, read the paper (you probably hate it...lol)

ridership has gone down since the first 3 months of 'drama' over it is over... and they're raising prices dramatically.
You understand this silly little 25mph eyesore cost nearly 70million dollars... a mile?
All those facts yet I must hate reading the paper... :)

interesting, the last few times i was on it (in august) it was relatively packed. this was at 3 or 4 PM, not quite rush hour yet. who knows, either way, fun stuff! we should fight more about phoenix ponyboy!
