i love my pc. my home server is my bff. I've made the switch around 5 years ago and wow. not saying anything bad about apple; i love my ipod too but as far as production environment; XPSP3, XAMPP local server and a LAMP machine.my win2k has been running for 10 years. seen it crash once (after a power outage)
@moth: totally agree with you on the finder. sucks beyond belief. there is a new alternative to the windows search. Called "Everything" and it does just that. search everything in a matter of seconds. predictive text, instant results and a small mem footprint. http://www.voidtools.com/

Sigh... you guys, i'm a Mac owner...and i have no intentions of switching to PC, i was just wondering. And now i will leave this war forever, and go install Gimp on my new stationary Linux-based terminal.

"Stupid user base aside, I will never own a Mac. It's not so much that I'm a PC loyalist. I'm not. It's that I'm not stylish enough to own one. Most iPod commercials feature guys with long hair, chicks roller skating, and guys wearing fedoras. I have dandruff, and I buy most of my jeans from a grocery store. I feel like in order to have a Mac, I need to be:
An artist.
In a band.
Unemployed (see above)."- hahahahaMeeklo

I like Win 7 much better. I'm back on Vista since June and what annoys me the most is the file classification. Apparently, the most important thing I would want to know when browsing a folder with 100+ files in it isn't "Last Date Modified" or "Classify by file type" Nah it's 5 stars rating! Because of course, I am going to keep alot of files i'd rate 1/5 stars on my hard drive. And don't get me started about files being classified in several collumns instead of just one.
Anyway, Win7 let's me actually chose how I want my files sorted so that I can find what I'm looking for fast, and I love it. I dislike Vista because the interface is too distracting instead of being useful. I love the PC system as is. All I want is a FASTER computer, I don't give a crap about the rest.

Switched over again to the RC1 version....it is badass. It runs perfect and takes up way less resources than Vista. The "sneak peak" and other new features are sweet. Finally a win for Microsoft.

All windows here. Looked at switching, but the slow tech support just isn't worth it.
Fingers crossed W7 is decent, Vista simply sucks.

I dont know if it's because I didn't buy Ultimate Vista, but with both 64 bits and it showing 8GB RAM, none of the adobe products register above 3GB under Vista- 64. They see all 8 just fine under Win7
- I think the most Adobe products can utilise it 3GB. A large scratch disk is better than ram for Adobe stuff.Jnr_Madison
- It seems to make a difference when I feed it 7GB ram (which is the most it detects)Redmond

easier to design web sites using a pc, as you working with most users native platform, that could be one reason.

I've been working on a PC for ever,
if you use keyboard shortcuts while working in any adobe programs,
using a pc may greatly increase your speed,
mac keyboard shortcuts are kinda retarded..
es: not having the possibility to use shift or arrows to select a save mode or just go through the dialogs without using the mouse- at work I use a mac though.GeorgesII
- this can all be done on a mac as well, with the same ease of use.Jordy
