Blurry Vector Logo

Is this posible to have a vector logo that appears to have a Gaussian Blur (15) applied to it.

These effect don't scale with the object. And the transparancy of the object is doing my head in. Gonna have to play around with the object.

yes. some fuckwit 'artist' friend of a friend supplied me one once. i asked if he'd supplied a low-res by mistake. his reply "that's how the design rolls". what a douchelord.

in the prefs make sure "scale stroke and effects is checked". will still rasterize at output, but you can resize in illy. if it's always going to be on the same color bg you could fake it with gradients, or if you are feeling brave, blends.

You could play with some sort of halftone effect, but no, you cant really do this without rasterizing the image.

When I'm in AI, if I draw a box and go under 'Effect' I see 2 groups. At the top, Illustrator Effects, at the bottom, Photoshop Effects. If I go to 'Blur' under Photoshop effects, I can do Gaussian, and still rescale the vector art.
Do other poeple not have those Effects?

It's not an issue within Illustrator since you can scale the effect along with the vector. Outside of Illustrator the saved size will be scaled, limiting how much you can enlarge it.
Of course a logo comprising a blurred image is another discussion altogether. And probably not a logo.
