This makes my decision to download CS4 even easier. No more pesky moral dilemma.

"then fuck you apple, i'll stay with leopard"
Its not Apples fault, everything comes down to Adobes laziness in modernising parts of CS, ever have the problem in CS4 where window contents disconnect from window borders?
like that, well thats because Adobe couldn't be fucked to reprogram several bits, so instead they create a Cocoa window and then reposition Carbon content so it looks like its contained within it. This is also why CS4 Photoshop isn't 64 bit on OS X. They have known Carbon was on the way out for years but ignored it.- yeah i get that all the time jumping from different spaces, pure laziness the wankers
mirrorball - buy a 30" cinema display you cheap bastard! APPLE ORDERS YOU TO!zarkonite

yeah!!! anybody thinking that CS4 will run better cause Snow Leopard is 64bit will have to wait untill CS5 when it becomes 64bit itself, so you wont be getting any more speed hikes from upgrading

64bit speed boost is a myth anyway, read the photoshop blog posts about it

CS3 is *unsupported* on SL, meaning if there are issues then it won't be updated. Adobe imply they have not even tested CS3 under SL but this is unlikely. But FFS, how supported is CS3 anyway?
"Not supported" and "not working" are very different things. CS3 may work on SL or it may not, we will know by the weekend. If it doesn't then you have the option of not upgrading to SL.
If this matters to you then defer from upgrading until other people report. Macrumours.com will carry the latest results in pretty much real-time as all the obsessives chip in with their findings.

CS3 and Tiger. FTW.

It says the following on John Nacks blog:
"No one said anything about CS3 being "not supported" on Snow Leopard. The plan, however, is not to take resources away from other efforts (e.g. porting Photoshop to Cocoa) in order to modify 2.5-year-old software in response to changes Apple makes in the OS foundation."
- Lots of people report CS3 does work under 10.6. Of course this may stop with 10.6.xcomicsans
