hello,
i'm redesigning a website for a yoga training company. client wants soothing colors and a clean layout. all feedback welcome!
current site (yuck!):

Definite improvement from the first site which is a train wreck. I recommend making the background a bit more monochromatic so it draws less attention. Like the pattern on the navigation but seems a bit too obtrusive being a bit too tall. Body copy looks a bit spaced out. Too much space on top, and something about the main horizontal bothers me. Overall, a good start.

not digging the script for 'ancient insites' and 'wellness programs'...
... use a thinner softer script... or maybe an italic font?... outside of that - looking nice... perhaps the doily-looking navigation flowery stuff could be toned down... it's making for a bit 'too much' given the depth of the main header and feels too feminine for the navigation font - perhaps the nav font needs to be different?

+1 for less tatting on the navigation.
Maybe the header should stay within the width of the content. I don't find it soothing : )
Not so keen on the mixed fonts in the header and that particular script is a bit clunky. If you're going to mix them up try splitting the words more, so it looks less like a simply replaced font.
Much improved though!

nav too close to the fold.

it's gonna have scrollbars at 1024

a few things that jumped out at me:
1- that submit button for the email sign up - lose that pointer shape, try something softer
2 - the color of the signup form and button are too dark, sraws too much attention and gives a hard feel to a soft site.
3 - same thing on the active nav color, probably darker than i would like to see. I think 'yoga' and i expect soft colors and blends, not a ton of contrast.

definitly a big improvement. that should sell well.
perhaps make the top area a little less large. the nav gets too close to the fold and one needs access to the info somewhere between the top and the middle of the screen, not far below.

if you want to stay with that script font you will need to make the sans smaller and the script larger.
The header is far too large. You need to be able to see some decent content above the fold. Try making yourself a 1000x700px size window (marquee / whatever ya wanna call it) to simulate what viewers on smaller monitors will see.

Bring some of the green and the two blues in the logo into the larger design, everything goes too purple blow the header.

The main problem I see in that concept is your usual problem. You have a tendency to leave tons of empty space from the top of the browser window to the actual edge of the design and have really big banners. It's your trademark by now. ;o)

i made some of the changes you suggested, please let me know your thoughts:

tthat purple is really harsh - could not just de-saturate the whole BG abit
- infact everything looks really pastel in comparison to the BGWeLoveNoise
- I'd use the darker blue from the logo..It will give the feeling of water toodbloc
- dbloc0
purple overkill...maybe use one of the blues for the bg color

Overall, the only thing that really bothers me is the monochromatic-ness of the whole design. I agree with NONEIS – spatter that green somewhere.
- dbloc0
then your selected color could be blue too to break up the purple a little
- dMullins0
Actually, on second look – and after reading WeLoveNoise's comment – I think you could make it feel more vibrant by simply fading to black instead of purple, and then try to work in tinges of the green here and there (headlines?).

The white rollover text feels too feminine actually. I would at least try what dbloc said above this comment.
