Im still on CS2. The mac is getting a little creaky though, but I reckon theres no reason to upgrade till it goes tits up.

They should only be allowed update once a year. All the new enhancements should be given free in an update. c-u-n-t-s

bought new kohinoor rapidograph pens - set of seven for only $60.00. No upgrade, only $3.00 for ink. Only thing is when I make a mistake, I keep looking for the "command z" button. (This gets worse as the Stoli bottle gets more empty).

The fact that it takes 4 DVD's to fucking install their software. WTF Adobe, I didn't think you could get more bloat than MS, but you're winning the gold for CS4... will CS5 be 5 DVD's?
Windows = 1 DVD
Adobe CS = 4 DVD'ssomething clearly wrong.
- windows is an operating system. cs is a suite of apps. macos comes on 1 dvd.airey
- what's wrong is your head on a friday arvo. have a beer and take a break tiger.airey
- this analogy is like clients asking for the program 'adobe' when they mean acrobat.airey
- shiite I've been giving them PhotoShopShaney
- hahaha.airey
- They used to fit on 1 DVD. Do they really need that much room?jfletcher
- they used to have 6 filters in photoshop. welcome to change.airey

The new Final Cut Studio only works on Intel Macs as well, so even Apple is moving forward. They've always done this and yes, it pisses some people off, but it's the only way to maintain some sort of progression of software/hardware.
It's really a positive move since the software will be more streamlined for Intel chips and Snow Leopard. It does suck that my beloved Power Mac G5 tower won't run it, but my 15" Unibody MBP will work just fine. I should upgrade to a Mac Pro anyways... get that HUGE power boost.
- hm, i got latest final cut on my powermac. ta-ta-ha.akrokdesign
- never mind, you didn't say it was only intel. my bad. ta-ta-ha. lolakrokdesign

"but if you haven't upgraded your workstation in four years, you're probably not in a rush to upgrade your software, either.”
hammer meet nail.
i just upgraded everything, machine my two most used software packages and i feel like a weight is off my back. things are pop pop quick now

you can click and drag on the top/ left corner of the composition (that little square between rulers) to tell where you want your zeros to start.
also right click on the ruler allows you to change to pixels/ cm/ picas/ etc

Heres one thing that fucks me right off in the creative suite, the rulers in Photoshop & Indesign start at 0 in the bottom left hand side of the page but in Illustrator & Acrobat the 0 starts at the top left hand side of the page.
Any body know if this can be changed so they match Photoshop & Indesigns rulers?
- You have it the other way around. Only Illustrator has 0 at the bottom left. You can change it though.CyBrain
- aye getting mixed up there, how do you change it for good though?mirrorball

“By the time the next version of the Suite ships, the very youngest PPC-based Macs will be roughly four years old,”
So it hasn't released yet? And who cares if 4 year old machines won't run it.
