Wouldn't it be easier (and catchier) to use the Microsoft name in some way? They have established names like Encarta, maps.live.com, msn.com, etc... Whatever. But why "bing"?
Not that I'm a native to English, but after reading it for many years and hearing it all over the place... "bing" doesn't sound like a catch to me.
Google worked because initially it was a funny word that lead you to "search" what it was. "Bing" doesn't arouse any curiosity, especially in a fed up world.

bing got their ass kicked by dutch military and royal secret service for not blurring out military spots and royal palaces... google did do that from the beginning.
